Ranges and cooktops
This is a refrigeration bench, so the short answer is no: ranges, cooktops, ovens and hoods are not taken here. The longer answer is worth your two minutes, because most range complaints resolve to one of four things and two of them cost nothing to check.
Scope, stated plainly
Sub-Zero refrigeration only — built-in refrigerators and freezers, drawers, ice machines and wine storage. No cooking appliances, no gas work. Booking us for a range would waste your visit fee, so we will say no on the phone.

The four faults behind most calls
A burner that clicks and will not light is the igniter or the spark module; a burner that lights and keeps clicking is moisture or spill residue bridging the electrode, and it clears with a proper clean and a full dry. An oven that cooks unevenly is more often the cavity sensor drifting than the element failing. A door that will not sit flush is hinge and spring wear, which bleeds heat continuously. And a self-clean cycle that locks and will not release is the latch mechanism — the single most common reason a serviceable oven gets replaced.
-
Safe to check
Clean around each igniter and let it dry completely before you judge anything. Look for daylight along the top of a closed oven door with the interior light on. Confirm the breaker, and on a dual-fuel range confirm the electric and gas sides separately. Nothing beyond that without the right trade.
-
And if there is a gas smell
Stop. Do not test anything, do not operate a switch, and read the short safety page linked below before you do anything else.

From refrigeration calls in these kitchens

Bar machine at the island end was short cycling and running loud. Its condenser filter had never been pulled since installation and was a solid mat. Cleaned, fan checked, and production back to a full bin.

Our basement cellar unit climbed several degrees whenever the room warmed up. The thermoelectric module was tired. He was straight with us about the limits of that design and what replacing it would buy.

February cold and the freezer drawer would not close flush. Ice had built up on the rear track from a blocked drain. Cleared, glides cleaned, drawer sits square again. In and out in about ninety minutes.
