Cosmetic and structural items are the ones that disappear: interior shelving and bins for early production, some hinge assemblies, and the plastic mouldings that surround a light or a control. Where the part is cosmetic, the cabinet keeps working without it. Where it is structural, the choice between a used part and retirement gets put to you plainly, with the readings behind it.
